Let's Talk About it:
Packaged in a very sleek palette, the first thing I noticed about this palette is how portable it is. You get a pretty good variety of shadows and blushes to create any sort of look you want. With a lightweight cardboard packaging and a magnetic closure, its not at all bulky or heavy. The mirror however is a bit off, it has a wider reflection when used horizontally or vertically. It has strained my eyes so I prefer to not use it at all.

Getting to the eyeshadows- with 48 matte and shimmery shades about 5-6 matte shadows I couldn't get any pigmentation off of. They weren't showing up at all on my brush or finger to swatch. With that said, I have to say there are a few stellar shades that I am in love with- one being a matte cobalt blue from the last row. Its very smooth to apply and looks amazing on the lower lashline. The shimmery shades all have smooth textures, they are creamy to work with and apply easily on the lid. Beware of fallout from this palette, it can get messy with some shadows.

The same goes for the blushes and highlighters, not all of them are consistent in textures. Highlighter 01 is a very pretty bronze with shimmer, I like using this as a bronzer to warm up my complexion. It doesn't look overly shimmery on the cheeks but gives a warm glow, it applies smoothly and evenly. Highlight 02 and Blush 01 are both pinks with a golden sheen. They look very similar and don't show up very prominently on my cheeks. This might work for someone with pale or fair skintone. Blush 02 is a matte cool tone pink. This has a smooth texture and applies easily on the cheeks. Blush 03 is a bright orange with a slight pink tone. This one brightens up my complexion and applies evenly. The darkest color Blush 04 was the most disappointing. It has a very stiff and dry texture. While it does show up on my cheeks, its not the most flattering color since it has a very deep brown tone. Overall, the blushes that show up well lasts about 6-7 hours without any fading.

Primark Handbag from Platinum.pk

Tuesday, March 04, 2014 Sidrah!!!! 6 Comments

I think we can all admit how convenient online shopping has become. One store that has a pretty good selection of handbags and clutches is Platinum.pk. I recently picked out a Primark handbag, here are my thoughts!

My Shopping Experience:
Platinum.pk know their way around customer satisfaction. I placed my order on Feb 13th, immediately I received a call to confirm my order. The next day I received it! It was really quick and convenient to not wait around for my order to arrive. They do offer an exchange within 2 days if you aren't fully happy with it, their staff is helpful and respond immediately with it comes to placing an order and any questions you might have.

Handbag Review:

The handbag I picked out is branded from Primark, I had asked them if these are original and they stated that it is. When it comes to the actual bag, I would have to say that the images from the website are quite a bit off. My expectation was a huge let down. I was expecting a sleek and classy handbag, what I received was something far from it.

The size is pretty big and can fit quite a bit of stuff, its sized at around 32 inches length. I would call this a 'weekend' type since its the ideal size to take with you for an overnight stay. The zippers are very sturdy and is made quite well. The lining of the bag is also made from a good material and its stitched quite sturdy.

I faced a few disappointments with this bag itself. First, it doesn't come with a strap. The bag does have a hook on each side for a strap, I assumed it would come with one. The bag is made out of Polyurethane material. The texture is rough and the color has a faded, aged look. While I don't mind the overall look, it has a very bulky feel. Not the least bit chic or sleek when carrying it around.

One aspect that really bothers me that overrides every other fault is the strong plastic scent.  Its utterly annoying especially when its placed near me. Now I'm not that sensitive to smells but this really annoys me. I've never owned a bag which has quite a strong scent so it does give a replica feel.

At the time that I ordered this handbag, it was priced at 3,000rs on Feb 13. The latest price has been increased to 4,000rs which is disappointing considering the look and feel of the bag isn't the best.

If you are considering purchasing anything from Platinum.pk (I'd recommend the cute clutches) you can receive 10% off your order using the code beauteous

You can visit Platinum on Facebook or on their web store for ordering.

Artdeco,

[REVIEW] Artdeco Skin Perfecting BB Cream

Monday, March 03, 2014 Sidrah!!!! 13 Comments

I love how the BB cream craze is still going strong. I would pick a BB cream over foundation for daily wear any time! Its quick and easy to wear with such a natural finish. With so many brands coming up with different variations, ArtDeco has come out with a Skin Perfecting BB cream. Lets see how this one worked out for me.

Artdeco Skin Perfecting BB Cream
Moisturizing beauty balm for a perfect complexion
The Skin Perfecting BB Cream SPF 15 combines 8 characteristics in only one product. It provides moisture, sun protection and color, in particular Hyaluronic acid, squalene and brown algae provide the skin with an explosion of freshness. Thanks to the very light, creamy, water-based texture that makes it easy to blend effortlessly into the skin.

The Skin Perfecting BB Cream SPF 15 contains minerals such as smithsonite and zinc which nourishe the skin. Vitamin A and vitamin E protect the skin from free radicals. Free of fragrances, parabens and talc. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive. Skin tolerance dermatologically confirmed.

Let's Talk About it:
The BB cream comes in a squeeze tube bottle which is ideal for such a liquidy consistency it has, you can dispense the right amount of product without any wasteThe shade that matched me is 03 Sand. Shade 06 Pale Peach is ideal for Tan complexions with a peach tone.

The texture feels very creamy on the skin and applies easily without the need of blending it too much, the claim of it being water base prevents any dryness from occuring. On application, I dotted various parts of my face that needed coverage and blended it out with a flat top foundation brush. On some areas I did feel the need to go over it with another layer. It has a sheer coverage and isn't buildable even with 3 layers, imperfections do show through so a concealer is a must if you have any dark spots or scars on your face. I don't mind the sheer coverage since its ideal for daily use, the finish gives a very natural glow to the skin while slightly blurring any imperfections.

I wore this during the winter season since BB creams generally have a very hydrating texture. Since my skin was extremely dry around my cheeks and mouth area, it hydrated the dry patches enough without giving a tacky/sticky feeling. I've been wearing this on its own and a bit of concealer on my dark circles and it wears nicely throughout the drier months. With the summer season, I'm not sure how well this will hold up on my oil prone skin. My nose does get shiny mid day so a pressed powder was a must with this.

The downside to this BB cream is the high price for a small bottle. I know I'll finish this bottle within a few months with daily use since I do feel the need to apply a few layers.
