PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Oct 2011- Day 1 | Maria B., Zonia Anwaar, Zaheer Abbas

I'm not a huge fashion buff but when I got the oppurtunity to attend the Pakistan Fashion Design Council Sunsilk Fashion Week I was more than excited to attend. If you follow me on Twitter and Facebook  I had been mentioning being invited to Fashion Week Oct 20th and 21st. The Glitz, the glam, the red carpet and the runway was an experience I wish I shared with my fellow beauty bloggers, I wanted to take as many photos of the event as possible to share with you all! This post is going to be Picture Heavy so sit back and grab a cup of tea! I am going to be showing 3 designers per post since I took way too many photos! 
The Designers that showed on Day 1 were Maria B., Zonia, Zaheer Abbas, Nida Azwer, PIFD, and Akif Mehmood. The event was divided into 2 acts with 3 designers each act.

The Red Carpet
Upon arriving at the venue (Expo Center, Karachi) the red carpet had a few areas for interviewing on various TV shows and of course the photographers..

Pond's:
The Ponds Representatives were handing out Roses and a a small jar of the Miracle Age cream.

The Runway Stage

Maria B.
Maria B. titled her collection ‘Neo Natives’. The collection was inspired by ancient world cultures such as the Aztec era.  Talk show host Shaista Wahidi and designers Yousaf Bashir Qureshi and Rizwanullah took the stage supporting her designs.

Zonia Anwaar
Zonia titled her collection 'Aurora Luminescence – The Glowing Murk'. Inspired by the colors of the Aurora waves.

Zaheer Abbas
Zaheer titled this womenswear collection 'Myth'. Inspired by the art of architecture as well as  Roman sculptures influenced by ‘wet drapery’.
