[REVIEW] Essence I Heart Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

I'm not a huge mascara junkie but after my favorite YouTube Beauty Guru Emily Noel continuously mentions a mascara in almost every favorites video I had to get it to see what the fuss was about and with a brand like Essence you can't pass up on an affordable price tag! So I gave in and ordered the Essence I Heart Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara from Just4Girls.
Essence I Heart Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

Application:

Let's Talk About It:
The Essence I Heart Extreme Crazy Volume has a big rubber wand with short and spaced out bristles which is ideal for giving your lashes more volume. The size of the wand is perfect for a really quick application, its not too bulky or large. It easily grabs my lower lashes.

Application is hardly a task with this mascara since the formula is very buildable. It won't clump your lashes and you can easily comb through them. The formula isn't too wet but it is on the wet side, it doesn't take too long for it to dry but I recommend doing your lower lashes before your upper lashes since it can leave a few dots around your eyelid before it dries.

I really like the formula, it will hold a curl but it won't curl your lashes (if that makes sense). It basically doesn't enhance your curl but it will keep your lashes curled the and flexible. It doesn't give a ton of volume but adds a nice bit of definition. You can add add two or more coats without it clumping and it will add more volume with each coat.

Overall I like this for a natural everyday mascara. What I really like is that its not difficult to remove which is plus point for me when i wear mascara daily, the one thing I don't like about some mascaras. It isn't waterproof but it also wont smudge on you throughout the day. If your eyes get watery I wont recommend this mascara.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses 700 Nothing But Nude

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses 700 Nothing But Nude
Let's Talk About It:
Lip tints/stains are probably one of the most trickiest lip products out there. Application wise applying them on smooth lips is a must! The Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses come with one of those felt tip applicator which makes it easy to create a crisp line. The only issue with these (and with all felt tip pens) is that they dry out if you don’t keep them upside down. I’ve tried the Revlon Just Bitten Balm + Stain which comes in the same packaging as these and they were horrendous. It was dry and applied patchy, just a nightmare. These however I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it glided onto the lips without tugging, I could easily apply 2 or 3 layers to build up color.

The stain and balm both have a mild scent to them, however the stain has a very strong chemical taste if you end up blotting your lips before it dries. Once it dries it doesn’t have any taste.

700 Nothing But Nude is a peachy color tint. It showed up opaque in two coats on my pigmented lips. It lasted about 3 hours once the balm wore off.

310 Long Live Lilac is a deep plum with a pinky tone. It lasted a pretty good 5 hours but ended up fading on a few parts of my lips, leaving me with patchy stains. Once I wore this and when I came back home my mom asked me what happened to my lips, as if they were bruised! Not a pretty look.

Both of these are transfer proof, they didn’t come off on any cups but if you want to remove it with a tissue immediately after you apply it, these will come off easily. Once your lips are stained you’d need to remove it with a lip scrub.

These do sink into fine lines on the lips while it fades, the balm helps the product to blend onto the lips and it gives a super pretty glossy effect. I really like the balm from this as compared to the Revlon one, its very emollient on application.

Pakistani Beauty Blogger Community Secret Eid Swap!

I'm super excited to share with you all my experience with the Pakistani Beauty Blogger Community Secret Eid Swap. I wasn't able to participate in the first secret swap since I wasn't quite sure what to expect but after seeing such a positive response from all the bloggers I didn't want to miss out on the Eid swap!

The Eid Swap was well planned out and organized, every blogger who participated filled out a form mentioning their skintone-skin type-favorite blush and lipstick shades and wishlist items. The items I received were mentioned on my wishlist so I was happy I got exactly what I wanted.

As soon as I opened the adorable box and read the letter- I knew it was Sara of Sara Hassan's blog since the hint gave it away! I completely adore how the items were packaged in a neat little box which was hand designed by her. It made me appreciate how pretty it was put together.

Goodies I received:
-Luscious Velvet Matte Powder in 02
-Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
-Luscious Signature Lipstick in 01 Creamy Peach
-Essence Urban Messages Nail Polish in Nightline

I had a few items on my wishlist for a while and Luscious being one of my favorite brands I wanted to get the Velvet Matte Powder that everyone has been raving about...it's for sure become a favorite of mine. The other items I wanted was the Maybelline Baby Lips and another Luscious Signature Lipstick since I'm obsessed with this line- love both of these products! The last item I got was the Essence Urban Messages Nail Polish in Nightline- it's an absolute lovely dark blue hue! I was looking for a rich navy blue polish and I'm glad my awesome secret swapper Sara got this for me! Thank you SOO Much Sara.

And here's a little peak at what I purchased for Rakshanda at The Fashion Personal!
A huge thank you to Sarah Ali and Rabiyah Tungekar for arranging the Eid Swap. I had such a fun time purchasing these items for my secret swapper and also getting my awesome secret package.

Color Studio Professional Pure Matt Monsoon 103 Swatch
Let’s Talk About It:
Whenever I go for a bold, vibrant lip color I prefer a matte finish since it add a bit of subtly to the color.  The new range of lipsticks by Color Studio definitely has something to fit your liking. Generally matte lipsticks have a drying texture and they do accentuate fine lines and wrinkles so it’s always good to have a lip balm handy.

My favorite aspect about these lipsticks is the smell, its a very sweet vanilla scent which doesn't linger if you aren't a fan.

Show Stopper is a medium reddish pink, it's the only shade that has a tiny bit of shimmer which isn’t noticeable once applied to the lips. It applies evenly and doesn’t accentuate any fine lines or wrinkles, it feels like a different formulation altogether out of the 4. It does leave a slight stain and fades after eating and drinking. It wore about 3-4 hours.

Atomic is a bright purple tone pink. It appears really toned down in my swatch but it’s a killer pink lipstick. It has a true matte finish and it does feel stiff on the lips after an hour so I need to apply a lip balm on top to make it more comfortable.

Monsoon and Red Velvet have the driest texture and applies very patchy. I do have to mix in my lip balm with these 2 lipsticks for an even application. Monsoon is bright almost neon coral while Red Velvet is a burnt red. I wore Monsoon out at the Maybelline Bloggers meetup, if you want to see how it looked on me.

With all of the lipsticks you would need to warm them up on the back of your hand. The warmth melts the lipstick a bit so that it applies smoothly on the lips. All of these do feel weightless on the lips once applied but chances are they will accentuate fine lines so do keep a lip balm handy.

The Pure Matt lipsticks are said to be enriched with moisturizing ingredients to prevent your lips from drying out. The ingredients include Shea Butter and Vitamin E to help add moisture to the lips. The lipsticks however did fall short of giving a rich moisturizing effect, I would've prefered if these were a semi-matte formulation so that the lips don't feel tight after hours of wear.

-Showstopper has a rich formula

Dislikes:
-Dries out lips after an hour

Maybelline Bloggers Meetup!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Ramzan. A few weeks ago I attended a Bloggers Meetup held by Maybelline to promote their line of Color Show nail polishes. I got to meet a few lovely bloggers from Karachi. Here's a look at the meetup!

The event was held at The Forum Mall where LOPAK's offices are located. They house L'oreal, Garnier, Maybelline and a few other brands. Me and Rabiyah of Rabeeyah's Blog arrived together because of the crazy traffic. Once we entered we noticed the gigantic displays of the new Garnier BB cream and artwork was displayed throughout their offices of various cosmetic brands. I absolutely adored the set up for the bloggers meetup, they had fun stands and gigantic Color Show Nail Polishes for display and nail polishes scattered throughout the room. They did an amazing job creating a fun atmosphere for the meetup.

Hina and Wafa of Maybelline hosted the event. In attendance were Maliha of The Curious Red AliceNaimal of Peachy PoutNida of Glitter Smitter and Rabiyah. I absolutely loved meeting Nida and Rabiyah again after such a long time, it was also fun to meet Naimal and Maliha for the first time. Maliha definitely livened the bloggers meetup so I hope to meet these ladies again!

The purpose of the meetup was to introduce the Color Show Range with included a nail art session by a nail art expert along with us doing our own nail art afterwards. They showed us a video once the meetup started about how the Color Show range was inspired by fashion week.

The best part about the meetup was the goodie bag. It was completely unexpected to see my name embossed on the maybelline nail pouch. This is something that I can keep with me in remembrance of the meetup, love this! It's super cute and I'm planning to sew in pockets so that I can use this as a travel makeup case. I got the shade Pink Shock, which everyone loved this polish color. Its a super bright neon pink.

[REVIEW] Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray

A spray to make your hair feel like you've just hit the beach...the Soy Renewal Beach Spray by Sexy Hair is the latest addition to the Healthy Sexy Hair Line. Let's Talk about it!

SOY RENEWAL BEACH SPRAY creates undone texture that looks and feels like you’ve spent a day by the sea. Helps nourish, protect and heal hair damage with the power of Argan oil. Cures winter blues by giving your hair the look and feel of a day at the beach.

HOW TO USE
Spray on damp hair and let dry naturally or blow-dry with a diffuser for all over texture. Use on dry hair for detailing or to add volume to the roots without having to wet hair.

Let's Talk About It:
The spray is formulated for wavy/curly folks who want a bit of texture to their locks. With my wavy hair, I generally try to comb less to keep the waves in place otherwise they just end up falling straight. The Soy Renewal Beach Spray promises to add a bit of texture and to create soft beach waves. I really like the nozzle of this bottle, it’s easy to spray while it diffuses the product evenly.

The spray adds a bit of stiffness/grittiness similar to hairspray- kinda like spending a day out at the beach and you end up with sandy hair. I’ve tried this on damp hair and it didn’t work out as well as I had hoped, the stiffness felt as if it was weighing down my hair.

The ideal way to use this is on dry hair, flipping your hair upside down and spray the ends while bunching up your hair to create waves. It does add a little bit of volume to the ends of my hair, I didn’t like the effect of it near my roots since it didn’t do much.

Overall this is ideal for longer/wavy hair if you want to add some texture to your locks, I’m not sure how this would work for straight hair types but this can be used as a light hairspray to hold in any curls.

Shopping at Daraz.pk

Online shopping has opened up a portal to try out new brands, Daraz.pk is one of thoes all-under-one-roof fashion sites with a variety of shoes, handbags, outfits for men and women a whole lot more. I really love the variety of items on the site and especially the sale section which I am always a sucker for! I got the chance to shop on the site with a giftcard worth 1000rs so I picked out a pair of Silver sparkly heels. While browsing on the site, I wanted to pick out a handbag but I couldn't decide on what I wanted. I like how the site mentions the size and dimensions of everything.

After I placed my order, I immediately got a confirmation after about 10 mins. Then after about 2 days I got another call for my order to be shipped. The site mentioned that my order will be delivered within a week so I was surprised I received it within 3 days. I really like the quality of the heels, I have yet to wear them out. The size is a tad bit too big for me but they do have a return policy if you do end up with the wrong size.

Overall Daraz.pk know how to make your shopping experience as comfortable as possible!

[REVIEW] Osmo Deep Intensive Repair Mask

Ever since I decided to grow my hair out, it’s been needing a bit if TLC. Just using conditioner isn’t enough so I decided to purchase the Osmo Deep Intensive repair mask. I tried looking for a deep hair mask at Naheed and I couldn’t find anything so I purchased this from Just4Girls after reading rave reviews about it.

Osmo Deep Intensive Repair Mask
Osmo Deep Intensive Repair Mask
The conditioner is a thick cream mask, kinda similar to texture of toothpaste. It has a very delicate coconuty scent which doesn’t linger after you’ve washed your hair. I’ve been trying to find a good deep conditioner and I did purchase the Palmers Olive Oil Deep Moisturizing conditioner and it made my hair fall drastically just after the first use.
Osmo Deep Intensive Repair Mask
I’ve used this conditioner about 2 times a week and I’m okay with the results. I apply a tablespoon amount on just at the ends of my hair and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Usually I wash my hair on either a second or third day since my hair gets dried out easily. My hair feels more manageable, less tangled and doesn’t fall out as much after I started using this, I noticed a slight change in the texutre of my hair after the first wash. My hair doesn't feels weighed down which is great since my scalp gets oily after the second day. It doesn't help with reducing frizz which I end up using a light serum to help lessen it.

Overall I don't see a drastic change in the texture of my hair but I'm sure there are plenty of other conditioners that can do the same. You don't get a lot of quantity with this product, only 100ml for 390rs. With my long hair I'm sure I will end up finishing this in about 2-3 months.

I don't really recommend this product for someone who's looking for a deep 'intensive' treatment. Those looking for tangle-free hair and a bit of softness this will work for you.
