L'Oreal Smart Bond at Allenora Annie's Signature Salon
Recently I was invited by Ghazia of Allenora Annie's Signature Salon for a fun event with L'Oréal Professionnel Smartbond. A few amazing bloggers and celebs attended the event for a L'Oréal hair transformation. I got the treatment done and here's a peak into the event!
What is SmartBond?
L'Oréal Professionnel Smartbond is a two-part, in-salon treatment that protects and strengthens hair during the coloring and/or lightening process, and is touted to brighten and soften dyed hair over time, whereas the in-salon (and at-home) Olaplex system rebuilds the damaged disulfide bonds (the stuff that gives your hair elasticity) that are broken during the chemical process.

After the glossing, the Loreal SmartBond was applied. The treatment made a very noticeable difference in the end result. My hair was blow dried and I was given a beachy-loose wave hair style.
I absolutely loved the end result! I would suggest this for anyone who's already going in for a color treatment to add this service for softer and manageable hair. What do you think? The treatment is available at most leading salons that offer Loreal treatments.

GlowyBox July Box Review + Meetup at Karachi Social
Glowybox has definitely taken the world of beauty subscription boxes to another level in Pakistan. The first amazing box filled with all imported products in a beautifully packaged box. Since it's launch, the second beauty meetup was held at Karachi Social, the new restaurant and lounge that offers a delicious menu and an attractive ambiance.

Anastasia powders be it highlighters or eyeshadows are amazing! I'm thrilled they included an eyeshadow, it's very silky smooth and very pigmented. Can't go wrong with a deep brown in the shade Smoke.
The fresh minty scent has taken over my bathroom and I love it. This product is going to last MONTHS since you need a small amount to apply on the skin.

Best Hair Products for VOLUME
After I blow dry my hair I straighten my hair without using any product. When my hair has straighten then I go in with the Catwalk by TIGI Root Boost Spray (AED35) on the roots of my hair. This product has to be blow dried so I go back in with my hair dryer. I interchange either this product or the Bedhead Sugar Dust Root Powder (AED43) which can be applied on the scalp and massaged in for volume. The Catwalk by TIGI is by far my FAVOURITE for intense volume. A little goes a long way. I only use this on special occasions because after I use it makes my scalp very tight and uncomfortable the following day.
On day to day use I love the Schwarzkopf Got2b Fat Tastic Hairspray
(850Rs) I usually backcomb my scalp and then spray where I teased to hold the volume. On days when my hair is greasy I love using the Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo (550Rs). I flip my head upside down and spray towards the roots. I use this sparingly as well since the following day since it will make your hair feel very tight.
Most of these products I ordered from Dubai. Bastiste and Got2B are easily available in shops now! I picked mine up from EBCO. These products are definitely some of my favorites along with a backcombing brush!
ColourPop Super Shock Shadows - Swatches!
After falling in love with ColourPop lip products, I recently got around to getting a few Super Shock Eyeshadows! These are some the best-sellers available on the website so I thought to give them a go and see what the fuss is about!

For maximum coverage: Use fingertip and tap shadow onto eye lid. A flat, fine tip synthetic brush will work fabulously as well and is actually better for a more detailed application close to the lash line. However, your fingertips make for the most intense application.
To blend: Use a fluffy brush that has good movement, dip tip of the brush into the shadow and blend with a “wind shield wiper” movement throughout the crease of the eye. This will make your shadow softer and more diffused (like a total pro). When finished, close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time, you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Shadow so amazzzing.

Let's Hear it!
I've never used anything like these eyeshadows before. The soft and smooth cream texture applies like a powder. I've found that it doesn't apply that well on the eyes unless you're using a sponge tip applicator. Juicy Apple was limited edition from the Hello Kitty collection but there are a few similar shades in the ColourPop range, the light gold shade applies very sheer with bright gold glitters. I love layering all of these on top of a cream shadow or color base. Bae is my personal favorite, it applies as a plum shade with blue glitter on the eyelids. Nillionaire is my go to for a little pop on an everyday eye look. The bronze shade is perfection!
All of these last quite long on the eyelids without fading or creasing, just using a small amount and blend it is key to prevent creasing!

NYX Professional Makeup Arabia held a fun-filled NYXIFIED Suhoor event for bloggers and socialities! When it comes to NYX, the event was something worth taking a peak into! Held at the La Ville Hotel in City Walk Dubai, the event was simply stunning with the NYX themed photo booth, makeup and amaaazing food.
The featured product was the NYX Total Control Foundation Drops that gives you sheer or full coverage by using fewer or more drops.

Glowybox held its first bloggers meetup here today at Café Mocca and discussed the formation of a beauty association with stakeholders. Present at the meetup were also beauticians and models. The idea behind the meet-up was to provide an on-line platform to beauty bloggers, models and make-up artists so that they can keep abreast with the latest beauty trends, discuss beauty issues faced by women round the world and to familiarize them with the concept behind Glowybox.
